Olivia Cieri

NYC-based dancer and choreographer

Olivia Cieri is a graduate of Point Park University with a BFA in Dance and a minor in musical theater. Olivia is originally from the Philadelphia area, where she danced with the Koresh Youth Ensemble and worked as an Entertainer at Sesame Place. She works primarily in jazz and modern with a special focus on heels and musical theater dancing. 

artist’s statement

I work in an efficient and effective manner. I work to incorporate joy into my craft and the room around me. I respect and listen to each person and appreciate each unique viewpoint different from my own. I work to create a warm and comfortable environment in class and rehearsal settings, while also still showing respect for those standing in the front of the room. I want to learn from each and every person, and will seek out situations that will enrich and broaden my viewpoint as both an artist and as a person. I embrace community in every aspect of my life, especially in the sacred space of a studio.

vision Statement

I will foster environments that inspire fellow dancers, students, and myself. I will respect others and their creative processes in order to allow every person’s art to be seen and heard. I will be disciplined and will inspire a similar work ethic in those around me in order to pursue the highest quality of art possible.  I will prioritize happiness, inclusion, and safety as a welcoming productive home for all artists.
